Responsibilities
- Design, code, enhance, debug, test, and optimize scalable Python software components and services.
- Collaborate with multiple teams, contribute to key technical decisions, and provide solutions across teams.
- Lead software development best practices and process improvements while coordinating cross-functional delivery.
- Serve as a subject-matter expert, manage team activities, and mentor junior team members.
- Use approved AI coding assistants for Python code generation, refactoring, debugging, and unit/integration testing, with human review and validation.
- Integrate LLM APIs into Python services and develop tested AI-enabled automation using structured outputs and retrieval capabilities.
- Evaluate generated and AI-produced outputs for correctness, security, data handling, dependency risk, performance, latency, cost, prompt-injection resistance, and sensitive-data handling.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in Python programming and software development.
- 15 years of full-time education.
- Strong experience developing scalable software solutions with modern frameworks and tools.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, efficient code and apply software architecture principles and design patterns.
- Experience with debugging, testing, and optimizing software for performance and reliability.
- Hands-on experience with approved coding assistants, context-rich prompting, generated-code review, and automated test validation.
- Ability to integrate LLM APIs, implement structured outputs and retrieval-augmented generation, and develop tested AI-enabled automation.
- Knowledge of capital markets and investment management, including securities, trading, portfolio management, investment operations, and related financial services processes.
- Experience with or understanding of continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines and agile development practices.
