Base Salary

Responsibilities

Architect and launch Cogent’s AI Cyber Taskforce.
Design and launch AI agents that automate vulnerability-management tasks with design customers.
Implement business-critical AI systems based on business goals, product strategy, technology strategy, and customer requirements.
Identify datasets and data representations for system development.
Decompose enterprise security workflows into autonomous-system subtasks.
Design systems using long-term reasoning and planning to evolve from supervised operation toward autonomy.
Build and extend Cogent’s Gen AI Platform.
Develop reusable LLM-powered components for ranking, retrieval, and search.
Create frameworks to train, evaluate, and stress-test ML systems.
Incorporate relevant advancements in machine learning and generative AI into Cogent’s systems.
Support engineering culture, onboard and mentor team members, and contribute to engineering, operational excellence, and recruiting initiatives.

Multiple years of relevant experience developing and deploying AI-driven systems, with a record of architecting practical production-grade solutions.
Expertise in machine learning, deep learning, and AI models, including applying them to scalable and performant production systems.
Experience designing and deploying agentic systems and autonomous agents and integrating them into larger applications or products.
Ability to address scale and performance challenges under production constraints.
Familiarity with reinforcement learning, natural language processing, computer vision, and large-scale generative models.
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and iteratively evolve AI models and systems for changing product needs.
Passion for keeping current with AI advancements and applying emerging techniques.

California-based applicants are eligible for a stated annual base salary range of $100,000-$300,000; certain roles may also include variable compensation, equity, and benefits.
