Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and maintain web-based applications and website components.
- Edit, update, and research website content to keep it relevant and current.
- Document technical designs and specifications.
- Act as a subject-matter expert, collaborate with and manage the team, and make team decisions.
- Provide solutions to technical problems for the immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead web application performance and user-experience optimization efforts.
- Mentor junior team members.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Requirements
- Minimum 7.5 years of experience is required, including at least 7.5 years of experience with Apache Hadoop.
- Proficiency in Apache Hadoop is required.
- Strong knowledge of web application architecture and the development lifecycle.
- Experience with server-side scripting and database management.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex web application issues.
- Familiarity with version control systems and collaborative development workflows.
- Understanding of web security principles and best practices.
- 15 years of full-time education is required.
