Responsibilities

Validate startup technical needs and current tooling during pre-program discovery.
Deliver tailored demos that highlight Datadog’s differentiators and startup relevance.
Answer competitive engineering questions and position Datadog against alternatives.
Create urgency for adoption so startups realize value quickly.
Ensure a smooth technical onboarding experience for clients.
Manage FDE engineering projects embedded with client sites.
Implement Datadog for clients and troubleshoot issues.
Translate technical details for business stakeholders.
Represent Datadog at key events and host startup-focused webinars.
Develop messaging and collateral for founders and technical teams.
Drive inbound interest through community-building efforts.
Build and manage relationships with accelerators and VCs.
Help automate processes across the startup sourcing lifecycle.

5–7 years in sales engineering, solutions architecture, or software engineering at a SaaS/cloud company.
Strong understanding of modern startup tech stacks, including cloud infrastructure.
Proven experience engaging with startups, founders, and technical decision-makers.
Excellent communication skills for both technical and business-level discussions.
Eager to shape a hybrid BD + technical role in a fast-scaling program.
Ability to translate technical differentiators into business value.
Passionate about helping early-stage companies scale successfully.
