Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy large-scale machine learning systems across multiple business domains.
- Design, train, improve, and launch machine learning models end to end.
- Write production-scale ML models for Stripe’s global economic infrastructure.
- Collaborate across teams, incorporate feedback, and proactively address technical challenges.
- Learn unfamiliar technologies and communicate project status effectively.
Requirements
- Pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a closely related field, with expected graduation in winter 2027 or spring/summer 2028.
- Practical programming and machine learning experience through projects, coursework, or research.
- Familiarity with Python, Scala, Spark, Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn.
- Knowledge of supervised and unsupervised learning, ML operations, and potentially Large Language Models or Reinforcement Learning.
- Ability to collaborate, receive and apply feedback, learn unfamiliar systems, and understand complex systems independently.
- Intent to return to the degree program after the internship or co-op.
- Preferred: two years of university education or equivalent experience, in-depth machine learning domain knowledge, peer-reviewed publications, high-quality pull requests, good test coverage, minimal-defect project completion, experience with multiple programming languages, and strong written communication.
- Application requires a detailed resume or LinkedIn profile and examples of relevant work such as GitHub repositories, StackOverflow contributions, or other portfolios.
