Base Salary
$165k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Deploy, upgrade, operate, maintain, and scale mission-critical products and services
- Manage infrastructure as code and use observability tools to assess application health
- Collaborate with software engineers to design highly operable, maintainable, and testable systems
- Improve the software development lifecycle from design through deployment, operation, and continuous refinement
- Practice sustainable incident response and conduct blameless postmortems
- Provide end-user support to vehicle software engineers
- Participate in the team’s on-call rotation
- Identify and eliminate performance bottlenecks through measurement and engineering
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or an engineering discipline, or 7+ years of professional SRE or DevOps experience in lieu of a degree
- At least 3 years of experience with Python and Python-based development frameworks
- Experience with Linux operating systems
- Preferred experience with Bazel, Buck, Make, or similar build systems
- Preferred experience with Docker, Kubernetes, vSphere, QEMU, KVM, or similar container and virtualization technologies
- Preferred experience with Postgres, MySQL, ClickHouse, or similar databases and data modeling
- Preferred experience with infrastructure-as-code tools, Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or similar automation frameworks
- Preferred full-stack development experience using Python, JavaScript, and C#, with end users primarily using C++
- Ability to work with mission-critical and sensitive systems with appropriate urgency and care
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, peers, and management
- Applicant must meet applicable ITAR eligibility or authorization requirements
