Base Salary

$89k - $170k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop and test software for implantable neural stimulation systems and other software products.
  • Develop C# applications using WPF, UWP, service-oriented architecture, and Entity Framework.
  • Develop web applications using Java, Vue, Spring Boot, JavaScript/TypeScript, AWS, microservices, and serverless architectures.
  • Document software and test development activities through technical documentation, reports, memos, and change requests.
  • Drive requirements definition, design, planning, code reviews, development, and other software development lifecycle activities.
  • Analyze, evaluate, and verify requirements, software, and systems using software engineering standards and best practices.
  • Develop architecturally and technically sound engineering solutions.
  • Provide technical oversight and direction on broad-scope or complex projects.
  • Improve engineering processes, methodologies, workflows, and overall effectiveness with cross-functional partners.
  • Build collaborative relationships and resolve technical and organizational challenges across teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of software development experience with proficiency in multiple programming languages, including C#/.NET.
  • Proficiency in Windows application development using WPF, XAML, and MVVM.
  • Experience developing web applications with Java, Vue, JavaScript/TypeScript, or scripting languages.
  • Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
  • Proficiency in unit and integration testing.
  • Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and Agile development methodologies.
  • Database development experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Preferred experience includes medical-device regulations and standards such as 21 CFR Part 820, IEC 62304, and ISO 13485.
  • Preferred knowledge includes Azure or AWS, microservices, serverless architectures, Node.js, REST APIs, WCF, ASP.NET, Kubernetes, Amazon ECS, Amazon EKS, Amazon S3, Git, Jira, Cockpit, Code Collaborator, and third-party build tools.
  • Ability to provide technical direction, work independently, evaluate complex problems, communicate effectively, and manage multiple priorities.
