Base Salary

$121k - $171k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Partner with management teams to integrate functions, define system enhancements, and support new products and process improvements.
  • Resolve complex application, business-process, and system-process problems through in-depth analysis.
  • Design applications in alignment with enterprise architecture and establish coding, testing, debugging, and implementation standards.
  • Evaluate proofs of concept, research emerging technologies, and convert successful initiatives into enterprise solutions.
  • Provide post-release assistance to business, development, and support teams.
  • Advise and coach mid-level DevOps professionals and analysts while allocating work as needed.
  • Provide guidance on operational concerns and support observability, debugging, troubleshooting, and infrastructure operations.
  • Manage and maintain load balancers, proxies, web servers, queues, caches, and related services.
  • Assess operational and compliance risks and escalate, manage, and report control issues appropriately.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of experience in application lifecycle management, software configuration management, test environment management, Agile, and DevOps-related environments.
  • Advanced application programming and system-flow knowledge, including programming experience with Java, Python, and shell scripting.
  • Experience with CI/CD for cloud and on-premises environments and with Docker and Kubernetes orchestration.
  • Experience with observability frameworks and tools including ELK, AppD, Splunk, Prometheus, Jaeger, and Grafana.
  • Experience with build, security scanning, artifact repository, and collaboration tools such as Maven, Ant, SonarQube, BlackDuck, CyberArk, CodeStation, Confluence, Artifactory, and Nexus.
  • At least 5 years of DevOps experience across Linux/Unix and Windows environments, including configuration and administration of common Linux/Unix services.
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps, infrastructure as code, and security for cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Site Reliability, observability, or DevDataOps engineer and strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, relationship-building, business-facing, organizational, and autonomous working skills.
  • A strong academic record and ideally a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related technical or quantitative discipline.
  • Demonstrable success designing and delivering multi-tiered applications.
  • Understanding of financial derivatives, particularly rates or related products, is preferred or willingness to learn the area.
