Responsibilities

  • Analyze requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to create test plans and test cases.
  • Define test scope, objectives, and strategies with development teams and stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain test data and test environments.
  • Execute manual and automated test cases and report results clearly.
  • Perform functional, integration, system, regression, performance, and fuzz testing on embedded software systems.
  • Design, develop, maintain, and improve automated test scripts.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and assist with the CI/CD toolchain.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects and support defect resolution.
  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders across the software development lifecycle.
  • Communicate test progress, results, and blockers to the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience validating embedded software systems and identifying tests to qualify system performance.
  • Strong experience decomposing requirements and creating and executing test plans and test cases.
  • Experience applying the V-Model for verification and validation.
  • Software testing qualification such as ISTQB Foundation Level Certificate or equivalent.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Experience with Python, JavaScript/ECMAScript, or other high-level languages is desired.
  • Experience with C and C++ is desired.
  • Experience creating and configuring Bitbucket Pipelines, Jenkins, or GitLab CI pipelines is desired.
  • Experience testing embedded systems and networking protocols, ideally CAN bus, is desired.
  • Hands-on experience in an Agile/Scrum environment is desired.
