Responsibilities
- Define long-term architectural direction for platforms and reusable product components.
- Formulate infrastructure policy, frameworks, and designs.
- Develop future-state architecture addressing modernization, cost efficiency, cloud-native design, resilience, security, and business functionality.
- Evaluate design alternatives and trade-offs across functional and non-functional requirements.
- Own end-to-end architecture and high- and low-level designs for systems and applications.
- Prepare detailed design specifications for application development and modification.
- Define integration patterns and ensure adoption and implementation of approved solutions.
- Provide technical expertise for application design and iteration.
- Collaborate with Technology and Digital teams on system integration plans and progress reviews.
- Maintain governance around security, availability, and performance while supporting collaborative design and engineering.
Requirements
- 7–10 years of overall experience as an architecture leader.
- Ability to translate business strategy and processes into successful technology solutions.
- Experience with cloud engineering and SRE, preferably using Azure.
- Hands-on experience with software development and system administration.
- Strong knowledge of technical architecture and modern design patterns, including microservices, serverless functions, data, and AI.
- Deep end-to-end architecture understanding.
- Experience with streaming technologies or frameworks.
- Familiarity with one or more architecture frameworks, such as TOGAF.
- Good understanding of DevOps.
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, problem analysis, independent working, attention to detail, and willingness to remain hands-on.
- Ability to lead committees and provide timely status updates.
