Responsibilities
- Develop, modify, and execute software test plans, automated scripts, test applications, and test programs.
- Debug software products, analyze test results, identify defects, and recommend corrective actions.
- Create test standards, procedures, test cases, documentation, and test reports.
- Perform client software and system testing while interfacing with hardware and software teams.
- Develop test applications in C/C++ and consult with development engineers to resolve problems.
- Evaluate software integration with scientific computation, data acquisition, and processing functions.
Requirements
- BS or MS in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
- Minimum four years of application development and testing experience.
- Completion of at least three full software development life cycles.
- Knowledge of software testing concepts and methodologies.
- Experience developing test plans and procedures, executing test cases, and preparing test reports.
- Experience using defect-tracking tools such as JIRA.
- Proficiency in C/C++.
- Experience with automated testing tools such as WinRunner and scripting in Python, Tcl, or Perl is highly desirable.
- Experience with protocols including PCIe/NVMe, SAS/SATA, Fibre Channel, or Ethernet/TCP/IP is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills and the ability to meet tight schedules.
