Responsibilities
- Build and evolve C#/.NET services and ASP.NET Core APIs.
- Design reliable asynchronous workflows with failure handling, safe retries, diagnostics, and configuration integrity protections.
- Improve security, authorization, auditability, performance, observability, automated unit and integration testing, and release quality.
- Diagnose issues across application and integration boundaries and incrementally refactor established code while preserving compatibility.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, mentoring, knowledge sharing, and cross-team delivery.
- Clarify requirements with domain stakeholders and contribute across backend APIs and web UI when needed.
Requirements
- Degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience developing production software in C#/.NET, including ownership of complex features and technical decisions.
- Experience building ASP.NET Core services and REST APIs with API contracts, asynchronous programming, dependency injection, and robust error handling.
- Knowledge of object-oriented design, SOLID principles, design patterns, debugging, and safely improving established codebases.
- Experience with relational databases and SQL, Entity Framework Core or a comparable ORM, data modeling, validation, serialization, and schema compatibility.
- Understanding of distributed or long-running operations, including concurrency, retries, idempotency, partial failures, logs, and telemetry.
- Strong automated unit and integration testing skills, plus experience with peer reviews, Git, and CI/CD.
- Ability to collaborate in an Agile team, communicate clearly in English, mentor colleagues, and work across backend and web UI technologies.
- Preferred experience includes configuration-management or deployment-automation systems, Angular, TypeScript, RxJS, NgRx, asynchronous messaging, OData APIs, Oracle, SQL Server, OpenTelemetry, Azure, enterprise authentication and authorization, Docker, Kubernetes, automated build and deployment pipelines, NUnit, NSubstitute, enterprise or financial software, and .NET modernization.
