Responsibilities
- Design and build user-facing web applications in TypeScript.
- Create interactive maps and views that visualize complex geospatial data.
- Develop reusable frontend components and patterns for current and future applications.
- Connect applications to live data and services through collaboration with API and data teams.
- Write tested, maintainable, and reproducible code with clear documentation.
- Collaborate across Science, Engineering, Platform, and Applications teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, GIS, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Strong frontend development skills in TypeScript and a modern framework such as React.
- Experience building interactive, data-rich web interfaces.
- Familiarity connecting applications to REST/JSON APIs and working with structured data.
- Comfort with Git and modern web build and deployment tooling.
- Preferred qualifications include project coordination or technical project-management experience, web mapping library experience, familiarity with spatial data formats and services, and an eye for usable and accessible interface design.
- Interest in environmental, water-resources, or scientific data applications is preferred.
- Colorado Front Range presence is preferred for periodic in-person collaboration.
