Responsibilities
- Design, develop, integrate, and test deliverable software code for customer-funded programs.
- Support requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and testing of embedded software for real-time control of advanced tactical radio equipment.
- Develop software test procedures, software programs, and related documentation.
- Evaluate hardware-software interfaces, operational performance requirements, and overall system design with cross-functional engineering teams.
- Use modeling tools and equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests, and evaluate results.
- Participate in peer reviews, identify and track defects, and implement repairs.
- Implement functionality in C++ and Python.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, electrical engineering, wireless engineering, information security, mathematics, digital arts and sciences, or a related field.
- Two years of relevant experience.
- TS/SCI clearance.
- Basic software skills and experience in space, aerospace, defense, or similarly complex mission-critical environments are preferred.
- Familiarity with Responsive Space Enterprise Payload Products is preferred.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted and agentic software development tools such as GitHub Copilot, OpenAI Codex, or Claude Code is preferred.
- Familiarity with agentic AI concepts, prompt/context engineering, tool integration such as APIs or MCP, reusable agents or skills, and validation of AI-generated software artifacts is preferred.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines is preferred.
