Responsibilities
- Lead embedded firmware architecture, design, development, debugging, validation, and delivery.
- Provide technical direction for day-to-day firmware development.
- Develop production firmware using C or C++ and Linux-based toolchains.
- Support memory configuration and feature integration for data center AI accelerator products.
- Diagnose post-silicon issues involving firmware, hardware, memory, and system interfaces.
- Build, test, and deliver high-quality firmware releases.
- Manage technical priorities, estimates, risks, and release commitments.
- Collaborate with hardware, validation, product, security, and customer-facing teams.
- Provide technical consultation on product features and programming requirements.
- Mentor engineers and promote effective firmware-development practices.
Requirements
- Expert-level embedded firmware or embedded software development experience.
- Strong C or C++ programming skills.
- Experience with firmware architecture, technical leadership, or development leadership.
- Experience with Linux-based development environments, debuggers, build systems, and specialized toolchains.
- Experience with RISC, RISC-V, ARM, PowerPC, BMC, security processors, SoCs, or similar architectures.
- Experience with post-silicon debugging, verification, validation, or hardware bring-up.
- Knowledge of memory subsystems, DDR, HBM, PCIe, or NVMe.
- Experience in semiconductor, server, data center, GPU, or AI accelerator environments.
- Strong technical communication and cross-functional leadership skills.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree preferred in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
