Base Salary
$197k - $295k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead multi-year architecture strategy across OneTrust product domains and align domain architecture plans.
- Resolve cross-domain architectural challenges and establish platform-wide technical direction.
- Define non-functional requirements covering security, privacy, reliability, performance, scalability, and cost.
- Assess technical feasibility and risks during product discovery and roadmap planning.
- Propose architecture standards, reference architectures, design patterns, and governance practices.
- Build AI-native architecture enablement through machine-readable context, automated architectural checks, architecture-as-code, AI-assisted design review, and evaluation feedback loops.
- Develop architects through mentoring and design coaching, and lead the Architecture Guild through forums, design clinics, and retrospectives.
- Define architecture scorecards and collaborate with Developer Experience on scorecards, templates, and catalog ownership.
- Partner with Engineering, Product, UX, and executive leadership on technical decisions, investment trade-offs, and delivery risks.
- Remain hands-on through prototypes, reference implementations, design work, and architecture automation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 16+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Demonstrated organization-wide technical strategy impact across multiple products or domains.
- Deep expertise in distributed, cloud-native architecture, including microservices, microfrontends, event-driven integration, and API design.
- Experience defining non-functional requirements and architecture governance at platform scale.
- Experience designing for security, privacy, and compliance requirements in enterprise SaaS.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or similar.
- Track record helping teams adopt AI-native engineering practices.
- Preferred experience with GDPR, SOC 2, ISO/IEC 27001, or ISO/IEC 27701.
- Preferred experience applying Team Topologies or similar operating models to architecture functions.
