Base Salary
$95k - $105k/yr
Responsibilities
- Deliver well-scoped front-end features for KAYAK’s Cars search vertical
- Implement clean, maintainable React and TypeScript code
- Translate defined requirements into user-facing web and mobile experiences with product, design, and backend partners
- Participate in code reviews and provide and receive constructive feedback
- Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure reliability and prevent regressions
- Use AI coding tools such as Claude Code in line with engineering practices
- Participate in sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives
Requirements
- A degree or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or a portfolio demonstrating equivalent foundational skills
- Foundational proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with TypeScript exposure preferred
- Hands-on experience with React or a comparable modern UI framework
- Familiarity with Git and contributing to a shared collaborative codebase
- Ability to use AI coding tools to improve development velocity and code quality
- Clear communication, collaboration, and openness to code-review feedback and agile ceremonies
- Ability to work from the Cambridge or Concord, MA office at least 3 days per week
