Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Own the architecture and day-to-day operation of multi-account AWS environments across development, QA, staging, and production.
- Develop reusable Terraform modules and Terragrunt configurations, including state management, dependencies, drift detection, planning, approvals, imports, and recovery procedures.
- Administer Amazon EKS and Kubernetes resources using Helm, Argo CD, ApplicationSets, AWS Controllers for Kubernetes, and Kubernetes Resource Orchestrator.
- Build and maintain GitHub Actions workflows, OIDC authentication, self-hosted runners, container-image pipelines, environment promotion, approvals, and rollback procedures.
- Operate Microsoft SQL Server on Amazon RDS, including backups, snapshots, point-in-time recovery, restore testing, monitoring, and AWS DMS migration workflows.
- Implement AWS security, audit, logging, observability, alerting, metrics, traces, and service-level objectives.
- Troubleshoot Java and Spring Boot services and distinguish application defects from infrastructure issues.
- Integrate SAST, DAST, software composition analysis, container scanning, dependency checks, SBOMs, and release quality gates into delivery pipelines.
- Lead incident response, root-cause analysis, disaster-recovery exercises, infrastructure upgrades, cost optimization, documentation, runbooks, and knowledge transfer.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 8 years of DevOps, cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or site reliability experience, including at least 5 years operating production workloads on AWS.
- At least 5 years of Terraform and infrastructure-as-code experience, including reusable modules, remote state, imports, drift reconciliation, and automated plan and apply workflows.
- At least 4 years administering production Kubernetes environments, including Amazon EKS, Helm, ingress, RBAC, secrets, upgrades, observability, and GitOps delivery.
- At least 3 years building and supporting CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions or a comparable platform.
- Strong Linux, scripting, AWS networking, IAM, troubleshooting, and incident-response skills.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident due to contract requirements.
- Preferred experience includes Terragrunt, EKS Auto Mode, AWS Pod Identity, Argo CD ApplicationSets, AWS Controllers for Kubernetes, Kubernetes Resource Orchestrator, Amazon RDS, AWS DMS, Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry, SonarQube, Java, Spring Boot, Maven, REST or GraphQL APIs, and containerized deployments.
