Responsibilities
- Develop and customize Android Automotive OS and AOSP platforms for connected vehicles.
- Develop Android Framework components, System Services, CarService, Vehicle HAL, SystemUI, and CarSystemUI.
- Work across Android application and native layers for automotive infotainment systems.
- Design and implement vehicle connectivity, platform architecture, infotainment, and user-experience platforms.
- Integrate Google Automotive Services, Google Maps, Gemini, Assistant, and other connected services.
- Develop and integrate OTA and software-update solutions.
- Optimize system performance, stability, scalability, and software quality.
- Collaborate with UX designers, cross-functional teams, automotive customers, OEMs, startups, and Tier 1 suppliers.
- Own work across design, architecture, documentation, development, verification, and validation.
- Contribute ideas and solutions to AFRY’s automotive software innovation programs.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of Android software development experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in automotive OEM or Tier-1 environments.
- Strong experience with C++ and Linux.
- Hands-on experience with AOSP, Android platform development, and Android Automotive OS.
- Experience with Android Framework, System Services, native Android layers, Embedded Android, or automotive infotainment development.
- Experience with AOSP Build System, Android Framework Services, CarService, Vehicle HAL, SystemUI or CarSystemUI, OTA systems, and Android performance and stability optimization.
- Experience with Git, Gerrit, and Linux-based development environments.
- Experience with Google Automotive Services, Google Maps integration, Gemini, or Assistant is valued.
- Experience with CTS, VTS, GTS, Qualcomm Automotive Platforms, Volvo Cars, Polestar, Volvo Group, CEVT, or ECARX is valued.
- Valid Swedish Category B driving licence.
- Professional communication skills in English.
