Base Salary
$147k - $277k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and maintain scalable test infrastructure for embedded Linux, sensor sets, camera subsystems, and OTA systems.
- Build automation, validation, continuous integration, test orchestration, and hardware-in-the-loop frameworks.
- Develop and extend Python, pytest, embedded hardware test harnesses, and service-level test tooling.
- Integrate automated testing with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, containers, and distributed execution environments.
- Improve test coverage, execution speed, reliability, dashboards, reporting, alerting, and system-health observability.
- Partner with development, QA, and integration teams and mentor engineers across those functions.
- Promote automation-first practices and continuous improvement in software quality for platform-level EV systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- 7+ years of experience in software development, test automation, or infrastructure engineering, including meaningful embedded or platform systems experience.
- Strong proficiency in Python and pytest, with experience architecting scalable test systems for multiple teams.
- Deep knowledge of embedded Linux, shell scripting, and system-level or kernel debugging.
- Hands-on experience testing or integrating sensor sets such as radar, lidar, and ultrasonic sensors, plus camera subsystems.
- Experience validating OTA update delivery, rollback, and failure recovery.
- Strong background in CI/CD pipelines, build systems, and test orchestration.
- Experience with Docker and orchestration tools; exposure to GCP, AWS, or Azure is preferred.
- Experience with automotive, embedded, or IoT platforms; vehicle testing frameworks, CAN/LIN, HIL/SIL, Appium, Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK is advantageous.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for cross-functional work with developers, QA, and integration engineers.
