Responsibilities
- Design and implement new features and technologies across enterprise applications and strategic initiatives.
- Develop frontend and backend components for complete software solutions.
- Participate in the full software development life cycle, including design, implementation, testing, and launch.
- Design distributed and scalable systems, high-volume transaction applications, multi-tier architectures, and database solutions.
- Improve system performance, resiliency, operational efficiency, and infrastructure overhead.
- Own delivery of application or system components and serve as a technical lead on small to midsize complex projects.
- Collaborate with engineers on technical designs and approaches for new product development.
- Conduct design and code reviews across multiple projects.
- Mentor team members and apply software engineering standards and practices.
- Track issues, project status, estimates, risks, and task breakdowns, and communicate status to project managers and directors.
- Act as the designated expert for owned application areas and contribute to improvements in development procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
- Eight years of professional experience in software development.
- Knowledge of object-oriented design patterns, distributed databases, and data modeling techniques.
- Proficiency in enterprise .NET programming and one or more modern programming languages such as Java.
- Required experience with SQL and Oracle databases.
- Experience developing distributed and scalable systems and high-volume transaction applications.
- Experience with web technologies and multi-tier architecture.
- Ability to multitask, analyze problems, make decisions, communicate effectively, adapt to change, and work well with others.
