Base Salary

$150k - $163k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance services for core Framework systems with ownership of moderately complex to complex features.
  • Implement and enhance protocol support across networking layers.
  • Participate in technical design discussions, architecture decisions, documentation, code reviews, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Investigate and resolve production and performance issues, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
  • Collaborate with product, platform, infrastructure, cloud, senior, and principal engineering teams on technical roadmaps and platform modernization.
  • Improve system observability, reliability, operational readiness, and performance while participating in on-call rotations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related degree requiring systematic or analytical thinking.
  • 4+ years of professional software engineering experience designing, building, and operating production systems at scale.
  • Strong expertise in C and C++ and experience developing on Linux systems, including multithreading, memory management, and inter-process communication.
  • Experience building and maintaining performance-critical systems and debugging complex issues using tools such as gdb, coredumps, and performance tools.
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
  • Ability to decompose complex problems, work independently with minimal oversight, manage competing priorities, and drive work to completion.
  • Preferred experience with HTTP, SMB, Kerberos, TLS, Microsoft protocols or similar, AWS or distributed systems, observability, on-call practices, production systems, and Python.
