Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable, resilient software systems using Java.
- Execute software design, development, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities.
- Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain application algorithms.
- Contribute to application architecture and design artifacts while meeting software design constraints.
- Analyze large and diverse data sets to identify patterns and improve software applications and system architecture.
- Support production issues and contribute to software engineering communities of practice.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and automation while validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Promote responsible AI usage, secure handling of data, and effective team engineering practices.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 2+ years of applied experience.
- Proficiency with Java, Spring Boot, React, and microservices.
- Familiarity with Jenkins, Git, and Jira.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming and database querying languages.
- Experience supporting production issues.
- Experience with Agile delivery practices, CI/CD, and DevOps-aligned development such as automated quality gates and release pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and the ability to evaluate, validate, and refine their outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Preferred: familiarity with front-end technologies, Terraform, and cloud technologies, preferably AWS.
