Base Salary
$106k - $232k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, integrate, test, and debug low-level embedded software for board bring-up and hardware-device initialization.
- Design, implement, and validate Linux and RTOS board support package components.
- Write and optimize device drivers for memory controllers, peripherals, DMA controllers, interrupt controllers, and security engines.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers on register maps, timing requirements, and device initialization sequences.
- Implement abstractions for memory-mapped accelerators, AXI and NoC interconnects, and coherent cache architectures.
- Document SoC boot flows, initialization sequences, register-level programming, integration checklists, designs, and tests.
- Translate customer requirements into embedded software products and drive execution to meet cost and schedule goals.
- Create custom tools to automate configuration and improve development workflows.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of experience reading and interpreting C/C++ code.
- At least 2 years of experience working with real-time operating systems.
- At least 2 years of experience with embedded Linux kernel and BSP development.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship, with an interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance required post-start.
- Preferred qualifications include 3 or more years of related experience, 5 or more years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Preferred experience includes assembly, ARM Cortex-A/R/M, SoC component design and integration, cache coherence, memory hierarchies, bus arbitration, AXI, NoC, and software-driven SoC validation.
- Preferred experience includes automating builds, tests, deployment, and installations with Artifactory and/or GitLab.
