Base Salary
$100k - $176k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and operate critical, scalable backend services including user identity, friend graph, and core persistence systems.
- Collaborate across teams to understand product requirements, evaluate trade-offs, and deliver technical solutions.
- Independently execute medium-sized features spanning several weeks and multiple pull requests.
- Test and debug software while applying best practices for availability, scalability, operational excellence, and cost management.
- Participate in incident or hotfix investigation and resolution as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, or equivalent years of experience.
- Experience with backend services or distributed systems.
- Experience coding in an industry-standard language such as Java, Kotlin, Swift, Python, or C++.
- Proven track record operating highly available systems at significant scale.
- Preferred experience with Java, C++, Python, NoSQL solutions, Memcache or Redis, Kubernetes, Google services, or AWS services.
- Preferred experience with large-scale microservices and distributed systems, cloud computing and storage systems, or infrastructure and large-scale system design.
