Responsibilities
- Work as a member of the Site Reliability Engineering team.
- Review application requirements and recommend solutions and common design patterns.
- Simplify development and infrastructure provisioning workflows using technical knowledge and automation.
- Configure and deploy cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Concourse.
- Implement dashboards, monitoring, and alerting for team services.
- Influence developers and advocate for best practices.
- Support users in person or through Slack.
- Continuously learn about relevant technologies.
Requirements
- Experience managing cloud infrastructure in AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience building and deploying containerized applications and services.
- Ability to automate manual tasks and work effectively in an agile environment.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code or related tools such as Terraform, Kubernetes, CloudFormation, Docker, Ansible, Salt, Packer, Puppet, or Chef is preferred.
- Familiarity with database design and tuning, especially AWS Aurora MySQL and PostgreSQL, is preferred.
- Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools such as Composer and Dataproc is preferred.
- Proficiency with Bash and a programming language such as Python, Ruby, or Golang is preferred.
- Healthcare-sector experience and experience securing infrastructure to HIPAA, HITRUST, or ISO standards are preferred.
- Ability to collaborate and communicate with people across different skill sets and fields.
