Responsibilities
- Define and maintain frontend architecture across Payments Core, Merchant, or Consumer platform areas.
- Establish component architecture, design-system boundaries, micro-frontend patterns, client-side state management, and performance budgets across multiple teams.
- Author ADRs, RFCs, and design documentation while facilitating cross-team technical decisions and trade-off analysis.
- Evaluate frontend frameworks, libraries, build tooling, rendering strategies, and accessibility standards.
- Evolve, instrument, and measure adoption of the agentic development harness for frontend workflows.
- Drive organization-wide adoption or deprecation of frontend patterns and design-system components without direct authority.
- Provide technical input into product strategy and mentor Staff-track engineers through reviews, pairing, and technical writing feedback.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years of cross-team technical leadership or architecture authority.
- 3+ years building customer-facing or merchant-facing products in payments or fintech.
- Expert-level experience with a modern frontend framework such as React and TypeScript at scale.
- Experience with design systems and component architecture across multiple teams or products.
- Experience with micro-frontend architecture, client-side state management, performance engineering, Core Web Vitals, bundle optimization, and rendering-strategy trade-offs.
- Experience incorporating accessibility standards such as WCAG into architecture.
- Experience with REST, GraphQL, asynchronous, and event-based API consumption patterns.
- Experience designing or evolving an agentic engineering harness, including instrumentation, adoption measurement, and iteration.
- Excellent technical writing skills for ADRs, RFCs, and design documents for multiple audiences.
- English proficiency at B2 or above and a university degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- Nice-to-have qualifications include platform or internal developer tooling experience, agentic or LLM system design, BNPL or lending experience, React Native, real-time UI patterns, internationalization architecture, open-source contributions, technical publishing, and Polish language skills.
