Base Salary
$140k - $160k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design the target-state AWS WorkSpaces Core architecture, including directory integration, networking, bundles, running modes, FSx, VPCs, and IAM.
- Define Terraform module structures, state and workspace strategies, and CI/CD pipeline architecture for infrastructure and image lifecycles.
- Lead customer discovery, architecture reviews, migration wave planning, cutover sequencing, rollback procedures, and technical communication.
- Review Python and PowerShell automation and own patching, monitoring, alerting, observability, and image lifecycle strategies.
- Produce architecture documentation, runbooks, knowledge-transfer materials, and resolve technical blockers and cross-team dependencies.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, delivery oversight, and quality review for VDI Migration Engineers.
Requirements
- 8+ years of infrastructure or cloud engineering experience.
- 3+ years of experience in VDI/EUC environments such as VMware Horizon, Citrix, or AWS WorkSpaces.
- Deep AWS WorkSpaces Core experience, including provisioning, bundle management, directory integration, and WorkSpaces APIs.
- Terraform module development, state management, workspace strategy, and CI/CD integration experience.
- Experience with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline for infrastructure and image pipelines.
- Python and PowerShell experience for automation, Windows image configuration, application installation, and Group Policy workflows.
- Knowledge of AWS VPC, IAM, Directory Service, FSx for Windows File Server, S3, CloudWatch, KMS, AWS Backup, and Systems Manager.
- Networking experience with Direct Connect, VPN, Transit Gateway, security groups, NACLs, and hybrid DNS.
- Active Directory OU design, Group Policy, and service account delegation experience.
- Strong customer communication, discovery workshop leadership, architecture review, documentation, mentoring, and decision-making skills.
- Preferred certifications include AWS Certified Solutions Architect, HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate, and VMware Certified Professional VCP-DCV or equivalent experience.
- Experience with compliance frameworks such as HIPAA, PCI, SOX, FedRAMP, StateRAMP, or CJIS is preferred.
