Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deliver end-to-end features and systems spanning farmer-facing applications, services, and infrastructure.
- Make architectural decisions and implement the resulting systems in code.
- Collaborate with engineering, design, and product teams to ship high-impact features.
- Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and knowledge sharing with other engineers.
- Contribute to system reliability and performance and participate in an on-call rotation.
- Develop deep domain knowledge by spending time on farms.
- Depending on the engineering area, build frontend or mobile experiences, backend APIs and services, full-stack features, or platform tooling and infrastructure.
Requirements
- Experience designing and delivering complex production systems.
- A product-oriented mindset focused on customer experience as well as code quality.
- Ability to use AI tools effectively to improve team output.
- Experience supporting and collaborating with other engineers.
- Comfort working in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
- Experience working in cloud environments; AWS experience is a bonus.
- A software engineering degree is nice to have but not essential.
- Depending on the specialization, experience with React or React Native, backend and distributed systems, relational and non-relational databases, Node.js, Kotlin, Go, AWS, or Terraform may be relevant.
