Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, enhance, and debug automation frameworks and scripts for UI and API testing.
- Perform web UI automation using tools such as Playwright and develop API automation test suites.
- Analyze requirements and identify test scenarios suitable for automation.
- Integrate and execute automated tests within CI/CD pipelines.
- Participate in test planning, estimation, and automation strategy.
- Report, track, and validate defects while ensuring adherence to quality standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with product, development, QA, and business stakeholders.
- Mentor junior team members and support scalable, stable automation solutions.
Requirements
- 6–9 years of relevant experience.
- Strong hands-on experience in UI automation testing and API automation testing.
- Experience with Playwright is preferred.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language: Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Strong hands-on experience with SQL and database testing, including MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and pipeline integration, including Jenkins and Azure DevOps.
- Strong experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Experience with test case design, analysis, automation selection, and automation script optimization.
- Understanding of software testing life cycle concepts and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong communication, collaboration, analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder-interaction skills.
- Experience building automation frameworks from scratch and exposure to test reporting and monitoring tools are nice to have.
