Responsibilities
- Own the technical operations and reliability of the trading platform.
- Optimize and automate systems and processes to improve reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
- Build monitoring and process-automation tools and participate in designing, building, and managing systems.
- Perform monitoring, incident management, troubleshooting, and recovery across hardware, software, applications, and networks.
- Define operational reliability targets based on customer needs and projected product utilization.
- Document configuration processes and policies and contribute to change management and learning reviews.
- Advise other functions on reliability techniques, application behavior, and system functionality.
- Educate and mentor the team and company on operational best practices.
Requirements
- Experience with automation using Ansible or similar configuration-management tools.
- Hands-on experience with Linux, Python, Bash, and Git.
- Experience supporting large, complex, distributed systems.
- Knowledge of host-side networking, TCP/IP, routes, multicast, and packet-level network troubleshooting using packet captures.
- Familiarity with data center workflows and implementing changes with data center personnel.
- Hardware familiarity and experience with Arista and Cisco switch CLIs.
- Experience with Corvil, Solarflare, and Mellanox.
- Experience with Java, C++, or other layers of the technology stack, particularly performance and capacity work, is highly beneficial.
- Finance experience is not required, but willingness to learn capital-markets operations is required.
