Responsibilities
- Support a mix of Self-managed and GitLab.com (SaaS) customers through various communication channels.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape product goals and drive fixes.
- Investigate and troubleshoot issues using Linux systems and the GitLab codebase.
- Create and update documentation based on customer interactions.
- Partner with support team members to solve challenging cases.
- Participate in on-call rotations for emergency support.
- Contribute to improving support processes and tools.
- Participate in hiring by reviewing applications and conducting interviews.
Requirements
- Experience managing customer-facing technical cases from start to resolution.
- Strong Linux systems administration knowledge comparable to LFCE or RHCE certification.
- Ability to use scripting languages like Ruby or Bash and work with MVC frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with Git and CI/CD in production environments.
- Skill in writing clear support content and documentation.
- Ability to explain complex technical topics to diverse audiences.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and technologies like Kubernetes.
- Openness to learning and collaborating across teams.
