Responsibilities
- Develop computer-vision localization, SLAM, and deep-learning models for real-time UAS navigation.
- Integrate camera, IMU, GNSS, and alternative PNT data for sensor-fusion applications.
- Optimize and deploy navigation and autonomy algorithms to embedded systems, robotics platforms, and edge-computing hardware.
- Simulate and validate navigation algorithms using Python, C++, or Rust.
- Participate in UAS flight-test campaigns to validate software and algorithms.
- Collaborate with senior engineers on research and prototyping efforts.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a similar discipline.
- Strong programming skills in C/C++, Python, or Rust.
- Experience with ROS/ROS2.
- Project or professional experience in computer vision, deep learning, autonomy and planning, control systems, sensor fusion, or embedded and real-time computing.
- Experience deploying software to robotic or hardware systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- No prior experience is necessary.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Secret DoD clearance.
