Security Engineer - Tech Risk - Analyst - Dallas
Goldman SachsResponsibilities
- Analyze infrastructure security incidents and determine whether they constitute legitimate security breaches.
- Conduct host-based and network forensic investigations, determine incident causes, and preserve evidence for potential legal action.
- Participate in 24x7 on-call coverage to prevent and remediate security threats against the firm’s global network.
- Tune security controls and sensors in response to evolving threats.
- Lead assigned security projects and tasks through planning, implementation, and coordination.
- Develop threat-detection use cases based on adversarial tactics, techniques, and procedures.
- Build anomaly detections using statistical and rule-based methods.
- Develop incident-response workflows and automation using Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
Requirements
- Strong English verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Strong ownership, motivation, and ability to manage tasks through completion.
- Proficiency in Python and PowerShell scripting.
- Advanced understanding of Linux operating systems.
- Ability to design cloud architecture with security configuration and incident-response strategy.
- Hands-on experience with Volatility, Rekall, The Sleuth Kit, Autopsy, and EnCase.
- Ability to conduct cybersecurity investigations as a Level 2 analyst.
- Understanding of artificial intelligence tools for productivity and security.
- Preferred: 1–4 years of experience triaging, analyzing, and responding to security events and conducting digital forensics on Windows, MacOS, or Linux.
- Preferred: incident-response experience in AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure.
- Preferred: GNFA, GCFE, GCFA, CCFP, CFCE, ACE, OSCP, or GCFR certification.
- Preferred: experience with security monitoring and cyber defense against AI-powered cyber attacks.
