Responsibilities
- Collaborate with software developers, system administrators, and stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation for software build, test, deployment, and configuration.
- Manage AWS cloud infrastructure and implement infrastructure as code using Terraform, CloudFormation, and related tools.
- Develop monitoring solutions with CloudWatch and other AWS monitoring tools to address system health, performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Implement infrastructure and application deployment security practices involving IAM, security groups, and VPC configurations.
- Provide troubleshooting and support for build failures, deployment problems, system outages, and critical incidents.
- Create and maintain documentation for systems, processes, and configurations.
- Participate in an on-call rotation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience with AWS services including EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, and CloudWatch.
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, or Ruby scripting.
- Experience with Ansible, Puppet, or Chef configuration-management tools.
- In-depth knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes containerization technologies.
- Hands-on experience with Git or another version control system.
- Understanding of continuous integration and continuous deployment concepts and tools.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Current or expired certification in at least one of AWS Solutions Architect Associate, AWS Developer Associate, AWS SysOps Administrator Associate, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, or AWS DevOps Engineer Professional.
