Responsibilities
- Assess the security posture of Microsoft Azure environments to identify vulnerabilities and compliance gaps.
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud security controls across infrastructure, applications, and data.
- Develop and maintain security policies aligned with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable security controls.
- Conduct regular security audits and assessments to validate adherence to policies.
- Provide guidance on security best practices to engineering and operations teams.
- Support the implementation of Azure-native security services.
- Automate security processes using tools and scripting languages.
- Monitor emerging threats and incorporate findings into security practices.
- Participate in incident response efforts and assist in security incident resolution.
Requirements
- 2+ years of relevant work experience in cloud security engineering focused on Microsoft Azure.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Azure security services including Microsoft Defender for Cloud and Azure Firewall.
- Experience with Terraform, GitHub Actions, and containerized environments.
- Hands-on scripting and automation experience using PowerShell, Python, or Azure CLI.
- Solid understanding of network security, encryption, and identity management.
- Familiarity with implementing security control policies in Azure environments.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate are preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- English proficiency at B2 level.
