Responsibilities
- Assess Microsoft Azure environments for vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and compliance gaps.
- Design, implement, and maintain security controls across cloud infrastructure, applications, and data.
- Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures aligned with regulatory requirements and organizational goals.
- Translate stakeholder business needs into actionable cloud security controls.
- Conduct security audits, reviews, and assessments.
- Advise engineering and operations teams on security best practices and remediation strategies.
- Implement and manage Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Microsoft Sentinel, Azure Firewall, and Azure Active Directory.
- Automate security processes and controls using Terraform, GitHub Actions, PowerShell, Python, and Azure CLI.
- Monitor emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and cloud security trends.
- Participate in incident response and assist with investigating and resolving security incidents.
Requirements
- At least two years of relevant cloud security engineering experience focused on Microsoft Azure.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Microsoft Sentinel, Azure Firewall, and Azure Active Directory.
- Experience with Terraform, GitHub Actions, and containerized environments.
- Hands-on scripting and automation experience with PowerShell, Python, and/or Azure CLI.
- Understanding of network security, encryption, identity and access management, and cloud security best practices.
- Familiarity with implementing and managing security control policies in Azure environments.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate, CCSP, or similar are preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, independent-working, and collaboration abilities.
- English proficiency at B2 level.
