Responsibilities
- Fix product bugs and deliver code changes to production to improve product reliability, resiliency, stability, and sustenance.
- Investigate and drive cloud production issues through root-cause analysis and solution delivery with extended development teams.
- Suggest and propose solutions to complex design problems for assigned technologies and workloads.
- Work with Sales, Technical Support, Customer Success, and Professional Services on proofs of concept and implementation projects.
- Validate future releases in staging for customer use cases and act as a gatekeeper for product release and quality assurance.
- Partner with scrum teams and Product Management on feature design and product improvements.
- Maintain clear cross-functional communication about product updates and known issues.
Requirements
- 6–9 years of experience in a combination of software development and sustenance roles.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Go or Python on Unix/Linux or Windows.
- Strong programming skills in data structures, algorithms, and software design concepts.
- Experience with enterprise software and software development involving threading, networking, disk I/O, data transformations, data integrity, systems management, systems administration, and monitoring.
- Strong problem-solving, technical presentation, written communication, verbal communication, and stakeholder relationship skills.
- B.Tech, B.E., M.E., or M.Tech in Information Technology or Computer Science, or equivalent.
- Desirable: 6 or more years of software development experience in Python or Golang.
- Desirable: experience developing complex, scale-out distributed systems.
- Desirable: experience with cloud technologies, preferably AWS.
- Desirable: exposure to Office 365, VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix, file systems, or NAS.
- Knowledge of backup or storage domains is advantageous.
