Responsibilities
- Work with generalists to create 3D art and integrate it into the engine.
- Support artists in using the 3D art pipeline and engine tools.
- Provide guidance on asset performance, optimization, and validation.
- Review creative workflows and identify tool and pipeline improvement opportunities.
- Develop Unreal Engine art pipeline tools and extensions focused on usability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues within the Unreal Engine asset pipeline.
- Collaborate with artists and QA to diagnose and fix production challenges.
- Ensure documentation is accessible and up to date for teams.
- Inspire and empower the art team to optimize workflows.
Requirements
- Strong expertise in Unreal Engine Blueprints and tool development.
- Experience building configurators, automation tools, or similar systems.
- Programming knowledge in C++ and/or Python.
- Experience with USD and familiarity with version control systems like Git.
- Knowledge of rigging, shading, materials, and rendering pipelines.
- Proficiency in additional 3D software such as Maya or Blender.
- Experience working with premium brands or in high-end productions.
- Excellent problem-solving, time management, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under deadlines.
- Fluent in English; German language skills are a plus.
- Quick learner with a self-motivated drive and attention to detail.
- Naturally curious and proactive mindset.
