Base Salary
$107k - $1370k/yr
Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain software applications handling genetic data.
- Ensure user requirements and performance standards are met.
- Deploy and manage applications in the cloud for scalability and reliability.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and other collaborative workflows.
- Collaborate with Data Science, Bioinformatics, software engineering, and other cross-functional teams.
- Write automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
- Conduct peer code reviews and uphold development standards.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in full stack development across front end, back end, and databases.
- Experience with PHP, Laravel, MySQL, and React.
- Experience with modern software development practices, version control, testing frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience writing tests and a test-driven development mindset.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, adaptability, and continuous-learning skills.
- Preferred: health industry knowledge or an interest in genetics and bioinformatics.
- Preferred: experience implementing cloud solutions, especially with AWS.
- Preferred: experience designing and working with JSON-based RESTful APIs.
