Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate production pipelines that process and deliver infrared mission data to government programs.
- Own integration between Muon’s data platform and NRO, Intelligence Community, and other government software architectures.
- Deploy and maintain infrastructure delivering data into classified environments while meeting security, compliance, and accreditation requirements.
- Own NITF formatting, metadata design, validation, customer iteration, and integration of vendor NITF tooling.
- Write production-ready code for data-product processing and delivery pipelines.
- Translate government customer needs into technical requirements and software designs in collaboration with Business Development and end users.
- Coordinate with software, data platform, systems engineering, instrument engineering, operations, and program management teams.
- Ensure the quality, quantitative validation, and integrity of government-facing data products and services.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience or master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience.
- At least 5 years of experience building production software systems, including data or geospatial pipelines.
- Knowledge of U.S. Government software architectures, particularly NRO and Intelligence Community systems.
- Experience integrating data-delivery systems into customer systems and operating high-volume pipelines in commercial or government cloud infrastructure.
- Strong Python development skills and comfort with adjacent languages and tools used in government software stacks.
- Active U.S. security clearance; TS/SCI is strongly preferred.
- Preferred experience includes classified infrastructure, NRO environments, imagery or geospatial delivery, NITF, GDAL/OGR, rasterio, PROJ, Cloud Optimized GeoTIFF, cross-domain solutions, infrared imaging data, government accreditation processes, and government customer engagement.
