Base Salary

$175k - $198k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and operate production software pipelines in Muon's cloud infrastructure to process and deliver infrared mission data to government programs.
  • Own software integration between Muon's data platform and NRO, Intelligence Community, and other U.S. Government software architectures.
  • Deploy, operate, and maintain infrastructure that delivers data into classified environments while meeting security, compliance, and accreditation requirements.
  • Own NITF formatting for infrared imagery products, including metadata design, validation, customer iteration, and vendor tooling integration.
  • Write production-ready code for product processing and delivery pipelines.
  • Translate government customer needs into technical requirements and software designs in partnership with the Business Development team and end users.
  • Coordinate with software, data platform, systems engineering, instrument engineering, operations, and program management teams.
  • Ensure the quality, quantitative validation, and integrity of government-facing data products and services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 8+ years or master's degree with 6+ years of relevant experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience building production software systems, including data or geospatial pipelines.
  • Knowledge of U.S. Government software architectures, especially NRO and Intelligence Community systems, and experience integrating data delivery systems into customer environments.
  • Experience building and operating high-volume data processing pipelines in commercial or government cloud infrastructure.
  • Exceptional Python development skills and comfort with adjacent languages and tools used in government software stacks.
  • Active U.S. security clearance; TS/SCI is strongly preferred.
  • Preferred qualifications include classified-environment and NRO experience, imagery or geospatial product delivery, NITF formatting and metadata, geospatial packages and formats, cross-domain solutions, infrared or novel imaging data, third-party government software integration, large geospatial datasets, government customer engagement, and ATO/RMF familiarity.
