Base Salary
$90k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance, maintain, configure, and support MES applications using Rockwell FactoryTalk ProductionCentre for regulated manufacturing operations.
- Develop integrations between MES platforms and SAP, LIMS, PLM, labeling, quality management, learning management, and other enterprise applications.
- Build and support REST APIs, SOAP web services, event-driven integrations, Java and C# applications, and web-based manufacturing applications.
- Create and maintain Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server database solutions, including data models, stored procedures, views, functions, performance tuning, and reporting.
- Develop communication interfaces between MES systems, PLCs, SCADA systems, manufacturing equipment, vision systems, printers, and automation platforms.
- Support MES deployments and operations in on-premises and cloud environments, including Azure.
- Troubleshoot application, database, infrastructure, and integration issues affecting manufacturing operations and conduct root cause investigations.
- Prepare technical specifications, solution architecture documents, integration designs, and software design documentation.
- Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and follow software engineering, validation, cybersecurity, and enterprise standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of overall information technology experience.
- 2–5 years of experience developing and supporting Manufacturing Execution Systems.
- Strong experience with Rockwell FactoryTalk ProductionCentre or equivalent MES platforms.
- Experience with Java, C#, .NET, Spring Framework, REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, enterprise integrations, SAP, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Experience with manufacturing equipment integration, PLC communications, OPC technologies, and industrial automation systems.
- Experience implementing software in validated and regulated environments, with knowledge of manufacturing processes, electronic batch records, traceability, genealogy, and serialization.
- Experience troubleshooting complex production issues across applications, databases, infrastructure, and integrations.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and secure software development practices.
- Preferred qualifications include source control, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, automated deployments, SQL performance tuning, database design, data integration, manufacturing and supply chain processes, shop-floor equipment integration, and PLC programming.
