Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate production AI agents and automation for recurring program reporting using Claude and Claude Code.
- Own the AI and automation roadmap, prioritizing initiatives based on effort saved and risk reduced.
- Guide Technology Assurance, Risk and Policy teams on suitable AI and agentic AI applications and adoption practices.
- Define verification, reconciliation, escalation, testing, documentation, prompt and context engineering, and sensitive-data standards for AI systems.
- Build resilient unattended automation with error handling, credential management, logging, alerting, scheduling, version control, and documentation.
- Work with IT and Information Security to secure approvals, connectivity, support, and compliance with AI, data classification, and confidentiality policies.
- Evaluate AI tools and models, advise leadership on technical trade-offs, and represent AI and automation decisions in governance forums.
- Develop reusable components, documented patterns, and practical sessions to build AI engineering capability across the program.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience in software, automation, or data engineering, including significant senior individual-contributor experience owning production systems.
- Demonstrable production experience with Claude, Claude Code, and the Claude Agent SDK, including end-to-end agentic workflows.
- Strong Python skills and experience automating document and data workflows with python-pptx, python-docx, openpyxl, pandas, or equivalent libraries.
- Experience with Power Apps, Power BI, Dataverse, Copilot Studio, Microsoft Graph, and an enterprise workflow automation platform such as Power Automate.
- Experience automating recurring operational or reporting processes end to end and operating reliable unattended systems.
- Experience handling large datasets from multiple systems, reconciling data, and assessing whether data supports reported conclusions.
- Experience establishing technical standards through reviews, shared components, or documented patterns.
- Bachelor-level degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- Strong English communication, stakeholder relationship, prioritization, organizational, analytical, and confidentiality-handling skills.
- Preferred qualifications include enterprise AI-tool integration, governed AI adoption, model or agent-framework evaluation, security or technology risk reporting, vulnerability-management tooling, coaching non-engineers, and cloud, data, or security engineering certification.

- Base salary ranges from $157,100 to $353,600 depending on US office location, with higher stated ranges for specified metropolitan and Bay Area offices.
