Responsibilities
- Investigate novel techniques combining advanced heuristics with optimization.
- Translate real-world supply-chain management use cases into mathematical models.
- Lead the design and implementation of mathematical models.
- Define test strategies and develop comprehensive test plans.
- Write unit tests, integration tests, and debugging code to ensure robust software.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated functional, regression, and performance test scripts.
- Collaborate with agile team members and stakeholders.
- Help shape Kinaxis’s future direction as it enters new markets.
Requirements
- MSc or PhD in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of software development experience and a track record of delivering commercial software.
- Working knowledge of C++, including object-oriented design, design patterns, and unit testing.
- Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.
- Experience creating mathematical models for real-world optimization problems.
- Experience with commercial solvers such as Gurobi, Xpress, or CPLEX.
- Ability to develop and maintain automated testing for functional, regression, and performance testing.
- Ability to apply AI or other tooling to accelerate software development while maintaining architectural consistency, secure design, and code quality.
- Ability to rigorously review AI-generated code for correctness, architectural fit, integration risk, and edge-case support.
- Knowledge of machine-learning models and algorithms is nice to have.
- Knowledge of supply-chain management areas such as Demand Planning, MRP, S&OP, or Capacity Planning is nice to have.
