
Machine Learning Engineer Automotive (Customer Facing) (f/m/div)

- Design, train, validate, and optimize machine learning models for automotive applications on AURIX, Traveo, and PSOC microcontrollers.
- Collaborate with sensor, system, application, customer, and internal experts to identify and evaluate AI use cases.
- Collect, analyze, and preprocess automotive sensor and system data and define data collection and labeling strategies.
- Develop validation methodologies to ensure robust model performance under real-world operating conditions.
- Deploy machine learning models on resource-constrained devices using optimization techniques such as quantization and compression.
- Develop proof-of-concepts, demonstrations, and customer reference implementations for Edge AI automotive systems.
- Participate in customer workshops, technical presentations, and solution reviews.
- Support software integration for safety-critical and real-time systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical discipline.
- Strong understanding of supervised and unsupervised learning, time-series analysis, signal processing, and deep learning.
- Hands-on experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, ONNX, or equivalent frameworks.
- Experience deploying machine learning models on resource-constrained devices, including TinyML, model optimization, feature engineering, and real-time inference.
- Strong programming skills in C, C++, and Python.
- Familiarity with RTOS concepts, performance profiling, and automotive-grade microcontrollers.
- Understanding of automotive electronics, software architectures, and development processes.
- Familiarity with AUTOSAR and ISO 26262 is advantageous.
- Experience integrating software for safety-critical or real-time systems is required; exposure to automotive radar, inertial or acoustic sensing, motor control, battery management systems, or industrial sensing is advantageous.
- Fluency in English.
