Responsibilities
- Design and implement a scalable test automation strategy focused on data quality, ETL validation, and large-scale data testing.
- Build reusable Python automation frameworks, libraries, and maintainable test architectures from the ground up.
- Validate ETL/ELT pipelines, data migrations, data movement, file-based integrations, data quality controls, and database-driven applications.
- Perform database validation, data reconciliation, transformation testing, and analysis across large datasets.
- Develop automated tests for complex data workflows and business-critical data processing systems.
- Use Playwright for UI automation testing.
- Integrate automated tests into development pipelines and drive an automation-first quality culture.
- Mentor QA engineers and provide technical leadership across the organization.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and business stakeholders.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience in quality assurance, test automation, software development, or quality engineering.
- Expert-level Python programming experience building automated testing solutions and reusable libraries.
- Extensive hands-on experience with PyTest and modern Python testing methodologies.
- Strong experience with Pandas and other Python data-processing libraries for validation, reconciliation, transformation, and analysis.
- Extensive experience testing ETL/ELT data pipelines, data migrations, data movement processes, file-based integrations, data quality rules and controls, and database-driven applications.
- Strong database validation and data reconciliation expertise.
- Advanced SQL skills and experience validating large datasets across Snowflake, SQL Server, and Oracle.
- Experience with Playwright for UI automation testing.
- Experience designing automation frameworks from scratch and creating scalable, reusable, and maintainable test automation architectures.
- Preferred bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems, or a related field.
- Preferred experience testing cloud-based applications and data platforms running in AWS and/or Azure.
- Preferred experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and using GitHub, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and Artifactory.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills.
