Responsibilities
- Build and ship production machine learning or large-scale software systems for media understanding.
- Work with engineering, product, and design partners from early design discussions through delivery.
- Integrate the team's capabilities with partner-team systems across Apple Services.
- Shape cross-team technical plans and influence decisions beyond the immediate team.
- Represent the team's work to leadership and serve as its technical presence in Cupertino.
- Collaborate across the Cupertino and Barcelona sites and multiple time zones while staying technically close to the team's systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 8 years of experience building and shipping production ML or large-scale software systems.
- Experience working across teams and influencing technical decisions beyond one's own team.
- Clear written and confident verbal communication with engineers and leaders.
- MS or PhD in Computer Science, ML, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience with multimodal understanding, generative AI, knowledge graphs, semantic search, media content or catalogs, Apple Services teams and systems, or distributed teams across time zones is preferred.
