Responsibilities
- Define the GI product line and help establish its strategy, experimentation roadmap, and success metrics.
- Lead technical roadmap development across AI systems, UX interfaces, business logic, hardware integration, and clinician support workflows.
- Develop prototypes and proofs of concept for difficult product challenges.
- Build and launch a minimum lovable GI product and iterate based on real member feedback.
- Write production code across the stack, including mobile, web, backend, and integrated product systems.
- Create engineering best practices for automated testing, monitoring, client performance, reliability, accessibility, and observability.
- Mentor and pair with engineers through code reviews, design discussions, and technical guidance.
- Lead cross-team initiatives to improve the end-to-end GI user journey and scale the product’s impact.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of practical software engineering experience, including building and shipping user-facing applications in production.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or foreign equivalent.
- At least 2 years of hands-on React Native experience building mobile applications at scale.
- Track record of building brand-new products from scratch and delivering them to production.
- Experience with large React Native codebases, TypeScript, Node.js, Go, GraphQL, AWS services, client-performance tooling, render optimization, DevOps, and application architecture patterns is preferred.
- Strong proficiency with TypeScript, JavaScript, React Native, and modern mobile development tooling is preferred.
- Experience integrating product surfaces across multiple platforms owned by different teams is preferred.
- Experience running A/B or multivariate experiments and using results to guide roadmap decisions is preferred.
- Experience mentoring and growing engineers through code reviews, design collaboration, and technical guidance is preferred.
- Experience collaborating with product, design, and data or analytics partners to define metrics and refine user experiences is preferred.
- Experience developing consumer-facing applications used by millions or billions of users is preferred.
- Experience working in healthcare, HIPAA, or other regulated environments involving sensitive member data is preferred.
