Responsibilities
- Lead architecture design for scalable, extensible, and reliable systems.
- Align technology roadmaps with leadership and stakeholders.
- Build productivity tools using Claude and Windsurf.
- Remove technical blockers and simplify complex problems into actionable solutions.
- Write code to guide teams and support high-priority initiatives.
- Identify business and technology opportunities and evaluate and adopt new technologies.
- Recruit, mentor, and grow engineering talent.
- Collaborate with engineers across multiple geographic locations to solve problems at scale with high reliability.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and/or master's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- 10+ years of experience building and operating backend services and web applications.
- Deep expertise in distributed systems, storage, data processing, and server technologies.
- Strong coding skills in Java and Spring Framework with object-oriented design experience.
- Experience developing and operating services on AWS.
- Experience with NoSQL and relational or columnar databases.
- Preferred experience with Git, code-quality improvements, observability tools, Grafana, and Prometheus.
- Preferred familiarity with CI/CD automation and Agile methodologies.
