Base Salary

$138k - $168k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Account Executives on strategic and technically complex accounts as the senior technical voice.
  • Own technical discovery across hardware, firmware, and connectivity architecture.
  • Design, scope, and lead proof-of-concept programs and product evaluations, including hands-on hardware and embedded firmware work.
  • Define success criteria, timelines, stakeholder alignment, and technical win conditions for pilots.
  • Carry customer and partner feedback into the product roadmap and communicate product context to customers and sales teams.
  • Deliver technical presentations to engineering, executive, and board-level audiences.
  • Support ODM and silicon OEM integration and design-in conversations.
  • Build and maintain demo environments, integration guides, competitive positioning, and technical FAQs.
  • Troubleshoot technical objections and identify integration or performance risks.
  • Mentor less experienced sales engineers and help scale presales tools and processes.
  • Represent the company at industry events and trade shows.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in presales, sales engineering, or solutions engineering, ideally in IoT, connected hardware, semiconductors, satellite, or wireless communications.
  • Deep hands-on experience with hardware, firmware, and embedded systems.
  • Working knowledge of Bluetooth Low Energy is required, with broader wireless protocol familiarity.
  • Experience owning presales proof-of-concept programs, including success criteria, cross-functional coordination, and pilot execution.
  • Track record of technical evaluations and pilots that closed complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise deals.
  • Ability to present to and influence technical, executive, and board-level audiences.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Satellite, cellular, or LPWAN experience is preferred.
  • Embedded C/C++, Python, or Bash scripting experience is preferred.
  • Experience with ODM or silicon OEM integration and design-in processes is preferred.
  • Background in GPS, positioning systems, or asset tracking is preferred.
  • Applicants must be U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents under ITAR requirements.
