Responsibilities

  • Develop a CAD tool using a Java kernel and MATLAB interface.
  • Implement algorithms for geometric operations and innovative sensor designs.
  • Optimize the tool for efficiency and usability based on user experience.
  • Ensure tool reliability through rigorous testing.
  • Automate design workflows to reduce the development time of new sensors.
  • Support users in applying the tool.
  • Apply modern AI capabilities to design workflows.
  • Collaborate with in-house R&D and customers in an international, multidisciplinary environment.

Requirements

  • Education in software engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, mathematics, physics, or a similar discipline with a track record in software development.
  • Required experience with Java, preferably desktop application development.
  • Required experience and curiosity in using modern AI capabilities.
  • Professional written and spoken English.
  • Experience with CAD or numerical algorithms is strongly preferred.
  • Programming experience in MATLAB is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of mechanical simulations using finite-element analysis is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of micro-electro-mechanical systems is advantageous.
